Beef with Broccoli – Quick & Easy
Ingredients
- 1 head of chopped broccoli
- 1 grass fed organic steak (flank, fillet or sirloin)
- coconut oil (to fry with)
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch fresh ginger, finely chopped (can use ground ginger)
- 3 tbsp low sodium naturally brewed soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- sea salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tsp coriander, ground
Directions
Step 1 – Boil a pot of water. Once boiled, place chopped broccoli for 60seconds. Take the broccoli out and set aside.
Step 2 – Slice the steak into thin strips. Season with salt, pepper and ground coriander.
Step 3 – Heat coconut oil in a wok or frying pan.
Step 4 – Add onions, garlic and ginger, fry until onion are soft.
Step 5 – Add steak strips and fry for 2-3 minutes (depending on how well done you like the beef)
Step 6 – Add broccoli and continue to fry for another 2-3 minutes, keep tossing all ingredients together
Step 7 – Finally, add the soy sauce and sesame oil. Coat all ingredient well.
Step 8 – Serve on a bed of rice, quinoa or noodles!
