Homemade almond milk in my opinion tastes way better than store-bought, I find it a little thicker and creamier! And you have full control over the sweetness. Play around with different nuts such as cashew, walnut and seeds such as pumpkin and hemp. Add vanilla or raw cacao power to make chocolate milk!
- 1 cup almonds (soaked overnight)
- 2 cups water
- 2-3 dates (more if you want it sweeter)
- 1 tsp vanilla (optional)
- cheesecloth or Nut Milk bag
Step 1 – Add almonds, water and dates to blender.
Step 2 – Blend until smooth.
Step 3 – Pour mixture through your nut milk bag and strain into a bowl.
Step 4 – Pour milk into a glass jar and store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Step 5 – Save the almond fibres. You can dry them out for your own almond meal (flour), use in baking or make almond crackers!
